The “Biesiada u Braci” (“Feast at the Brothers’”) organised by Dobrowolscy gathered over 400 sales representatives. Apart from the participation in the commercial part, the participants also had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge on the effective strategies of selling meats and hams, as well as effective methods to capitalise upon the market’s potential. Entertainment was available too – the time of contests, surprises, and concerts.

The autumn fair was the third party of this type organised by Dobrowolscy this year. The attendance in Dwór Ostoja in Jasionka where the “feast” took place was almost twice as high as that at the spring fair in Chotowa. Grzegorz Zych, the vice-president of Dobrowolscy, the next edition, planned between February and March of the next year, will gather even more participants. The number of stands where the companies collaborating with the ham producer from Wadowice was higher as well.

The Honey Revolution

The organisers took care to ensure that the party did not take on an entirely commercial character. That notwithstanding, the company’s newest products, especially the new line of honey-baked products, enjoyed great interest. – Our new products are distinguished by a high meat contents, no preservatives, and crispy texture. Though the most important thing, of course, is the perfect taste stemming from the fact that before baking every piece of meat is covered with a tiny layer of mixed-flower honey and pre-baked for 120 minutes – explains Anna Burak, product manager at Dobrowolscy.

Valuable tips

The organisers of the October meeting placed great emphasis on educating retail sellers. – We give the guests something exceptional, something that they will not find anywhere else – explains Grzegorz Zych. – Within the framework of the “Brothers’ Academy” (“Akademia u Braci”) cycle, we point to the store owners where could they improve their business activity, we teach them how to arrange meats and hams in the refrigerated counter, about the rules of clear exposition and proper lighhing – he adds. The company, emphasising its Polish roots, wants to not only supply good products to the sales points, but ready solutions that will allow the retail sellers to improve the profitability of ham and meat sales as well. One of them is the partnership program, “The Brothers’ Pantry” (“Spiżarnia Braci”). The first stores of this format operate successfully already. Another new thing for the stores are the Cock-a-Doodle-Do corners for children, where the youngest members of the family will be greeted by crayons and colouring cards. When the children are busy drawing, the parents may focus on shopping.
